Hiru News: Most Popular News Channel of the Year at GBE Awards 2026

Hiru News has received Most Popular News Channel of the Year at the Global Business Excellence Awards 2026. Organised by London Business Consultancy, London, UK, the awards recognise businesses, professionals and creative work across a broad range of fields. For Hiru News, the 2026 recognition places the spotlight on television news.

A news identity across formats

Hiru News publishes coverage across local, international, business, sports and other news categories through its public platform. It is also associated with Hiru TV's news output. That gives the recipient a recognisable place in the media landscape, where people may encounter the same news brand through a broadcast bulletin or a digital update.

A news-channel award is distinct from an entertainment-channel recognition. The audience is approaching the content to learn about events and developments, rather than to follow a fictional story. The title therefore places the focus on Hiru News as a news identity within the 2026 GBE programme.

A category connected with everyday information

News becomes part of daily routines through repeated visits, viewing and discussion. The format may change between television and a phone screen, but the name of the provider gives the audience a point of reference. This makes the channel category a recognition of an ongoing media relationship rather than one isolated item of coverage.

Most Popular News Channel of the Year is Hiru News' recognition at the Global Business Excellence Awards 2026. The milestone celebrates the named recipient and gives news broadcasting a clear place among the year's media awards. It highlights a field in which the subject changes from day to day while the public-facing identity remains the thread connecting a series of reports, bulletins and updates.
