Jayaprakash Sivagurunadan has received Outstanding Teledrama Director of the Year at the Global Business Excellence Awards 2026. Organised by London Business Consultancy, London, UK, the awards recognise businesses, professionals and creative work across a broad range of fields. For Jayaprakash Sivagurunadan, the 2026 recognition places the spotlight on teledrama direction.

A director's place in television drama

Jayaprakash Sivagurunadan's screen credits include television and film direction, with Nadagamkarayo among the works associated with his name. His 2026 GBE recognition is Outstanding Teledrama Director of the Year, giving a television-direction role a clear place in the year's creative honours.

Direction connects a written story with the performance and visual choices through which an audience encounters it. A scene has to work as a moment on its own and as part of the larger programme. In a continuing drama, those choices also contribute to the world viewers return to across episodes.

From individual scenes to a continuing story

A director's work can be understood through relationships: between performers, between a character and a setting, and between one scene and the next. Those relationships help establish the tone of a programme without necessarily drawing attention to the decisions behind them. A directing award brings that creative role into focus.

At the Global Business Excellence Awards 2026, Jayaprakash Sivagurunadan receives a distinct milestone in teledrama direction. The accolade celebrates the named professional and highlights the role of direction within the wider television process. It recognises a discipline concerned with bringing many creative elements together so that the audience experiences them as a coherent story, rather than as separate contributions encountered one by one.
