Shanudrie Priyasad: Most Popular Film Actress of the Year at GBE Awards 2026

Shanudrie Priyasad (Adaraneeya Tharuwak & Moda Tharindu Movies) has received Most Popular Film Actress of the Year at the Global Business Excellence Awards 2026. Organised by London Business Consultancy, London, UK, the awards recognise businesses, professionals and creative work across a broad range of fields. For Shanudrie Priyasad, the 2026 recognition places the spotlight on film performance.

Two films, an individual recognition

Shanudrie Priyasad is listed in the public cast information for Adaraneeya Tharuwak and Moda Tharindu. The films place her work in different story settings: a romance and drama centred on a singer's emotional journey, and a fantasy comedy built around family, relationships and an afterlife premise.

Those contrasting settings give a practical context to a film-actress award. A performer becomes part of the world of each production, adapting to the tone and relationships of the story rather than carrying one character unchanged into another. The audience encounters the individual through the roles while also recognising the name across different films.

A place in the 2026 cinema honours

Most Popular Film Actress of the Year is Shanudrie Priyasad's title at GBE Awards 2026. The recognition brings Adaraneeya Tharuwak and Moda Tharindu into the story of her 2026 honour, connecting the individual actress with two distinct film settings.

The Global Business Excellence Awards milestone celebrates the named actress and brings women's film performance into the wider programme. It highlights a creative profession in which a person helps make the emotional and imaginative world of a film accessible to an audience. The recognition sits alongside television and other media honours while retaining a distinct cinema focus through the two works named with the recipient.
